Several airlines are offering special service between Pittsburgh and Dallas for Super Bowl XLV.Delta Air Lines said Monday it will offer one daily, nonstop flight to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on the Friday and Saturday before the Feb. 6 game and a return nonstop flight to Pittsburgh the Monday after. Friday’s Dallas-bound flight and the return flight will operate on 180-seat Boeing 757 jets, while the Saturday flight to Dallas will be on a 76-seat regional jet, the airline said.”We anticipate there is going to be heavy demand for the tickets,” said Delta spokesman Trebor Banstetter. A search this afternoon at Delta’s website showed a one-way ticket to Dallas was running for $894. Delta is offering similar service to and from Dallas for Milwaukee and Green Bay, Wisc., Banstetter said.Southwest Airlines also said it will offer two roundtrip flights to Dallas love Field Airport the Friday before the game and two return flights the following Monday.US Airways added a nonstop roundtrip to Dallas-Fort Worth International, but the return flight already was booked by yesterday, said Pittsburgh International Airport spokeswoman JoAnn Jenny. “We’re anticipating there might be some more added service,” Jenny said.American Airlines operates regular, nonstop service between Pittsburgh and Dallas. No other airlines do.
