I feel the need to add my cautionary tale about Indian double-entry visas after seeing a reader’s question on the subject (Ask Gill, October 30). I bought cheap flights to Hong Kong because of a 12-hour stopover each way in Bombay (Mumbai). we decided to arrange double-entry visas so we could take in a city tour on our first stop and stay in an airport hotel for our second.

Airline operator Jet2 has announced it will schedule even more ski flights for the Winter 2010-2011 season.Two further ski flights for Jet2The low fares airline will run additional flights to Geneva running from Newcastle and Edinburgh, opening up many of Europe's best ski destination to holidaymakers based in the north of England.Flights from Newcastle will run from December 26th to January 9th before restarting again from February 20th – March 27th. The Edinburgh service will run during the latter time period. We’re loving fascinating Aida (they style themselves as Britain’s top female comedy singing trio, though it can’t be a large category) and their take on the blessed Ryanair. Check it out for yourself on YouTube, but this sample lyric sums it up: “Cheap flights, cheap flights, we should have gone by sea; there’s no such thing as fecking flights for 50p.” the tirade – though no doubt Ryanair will see it as more of a tribute – continues in that fashion for a good five minutes.
