San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is one of the USA’s busiest airports, managing both domestic flights and international links for the Europe, and Latin America. The airport was first opened on May 7, 1927 on 150 acres of piece of land that was chartered from famous local landowner Ogden L. Mills, and in relation to that it was named Mills Field Municipal Airport. Its name remained Mills Field until 1931, after that it was renamed as San Francisco Municipal Airport, later the municipal was replaced with International somewhere around 1955.

I know you're not allowed to smoke on domestic flights. But what about international flights? Does it depend on the airline or the country you're flying to? I want to fly from Arizona to South Africa (where I have relatives). Since I'm a smoker, I don't like the thought of going on an extremely long trip without being allowed to smoke. Does anybody know about this?
